According to Normanton Park’s developer, Kingsford Huray Development, the project sold 1/3 of its residential units launched for sale on first day of sales.
The apartments were sold at an average pricing of S$1,750 per square foot.
Close to 80% of the residential units sold were 1- and 2-bedrooms units. 3 commercial units also found buyers.
The developer reported that a large proportion of the buyers are local citizens or permanent residents. The buyers bought Normanton Park for investment or as a home.
The turnout for Normanton Park’s launch was unexpectedly good despite the preview was held during rainy season where heavy rains were frequent. Normanton Park show flat registered a huge turnout of about 12,000 viewers during the VVIP preview’s 13 days run.
The good response came as a relief for Kingsford Huray as the company was not permitted to launch the project for nearly 2 years for failing to qualify the requirement for a sales license from the comptroller of housing. The ban was finally removed on 30 November 2020.
